Dendrometer:
Efficient measuring instruments, proven in ecological research and applications of modern precision agriculture.
As highly precise and robust measurement instruments, dendrometers enable the continuous and high-resolution monitoring of minute changes in various plant organs, such as stems, branches, roots, or fruits, in both trees and herbaceous plants.
The changes recorded at the micrometer scale provide valuable information on growth dynamics, physiological status, and plant water status. Dendrometers therefore offer direct insights into plant responses to environmental conditions and stress factors.
Ecomatik dendrometers are designed for long-term use under a wide range of conditions, from tropical to polar regions, as well as for measurements in soil, beneath snow, or underwater. Their high reliability, low maintenance requirements, and low energy consumption make them versatile and cost-effective measurement systems for ecological research, forestry, and agriculture.
Flexible Integration and Modern Monitoring Systems
For flexible integration into existing measurement systems, all Ecomatik dendrometers are available with analog or SDI-12 interfaces and support wireless communication technologies such as NB-IoT and LoRaWAN. In combination with Ecomatik IoP-S and IoP-M nodes, measurement data can be transmitted in real time to the Ecomatik data platform, visualized, and efficiently analyzed.
